I know these people
busiest weekend of my life
Tuesday. 10.25.05 7:17 pm
saturday morning - woke up early and off to habitat for humanity. afterwards (we left at 2), i came home and slept till I had to go to work for the last official time. Right after I got home i went to Homer's coffeeshop with a couple friends.

sunday morning - woke up to go to Mass. Right after that I went to Best Buy for my orientation from 12 to 4. That was sweet. Right when I got home, we immediately left for St. Louis.

Monday morning - woke up early to go visit Washington University. What an amazing campus. I loved every single tiny aspect of it, from the activities available, to the dorm rooms, to the classrooms, to the size, to the architecture, to the policies. Literally - everything is amazing. We left at 3:30 to come back home.

poker tourney update:
brad lynn, brett fitzpatrick, and andrew billam are in. the final pot is officially only around 200 bucks, which is kind of a let down, but still better than nothing.

I finally got a new hard drive. 100 bucks. the drive is nice, but the spending money thing kind of sucks.

Okay, so I got a job at Best Buy. yea I know, just about everyone is starting to get jobs there, but I actually applied there before I knew everyone else was. I just love Best Buy.

Quitting my job at Papa Murphy's was tougher than I thought it would be. I'm going to miss everyone I worked with except for one person. I couldn't stand her. You couldn't pay me a million dollars to be friends with her.

update on poker tournament:
andrew robison, ben kern, and alex carolan qualified yesterday. So 6 of the 9 people are now known. One qualifying night remains, then it's the showdown for the huge pot (already up to around 400 dollars, but that has to be split up into 9 different prizes). Hopefully the last qualification night will add a large sum of money to the pot, so that the top place finisher gets around 400 themselves.

Went to the poker tournament last night at Hartung's house. I qualified along with Frags and Bob. So I'll be going to the final round at Ben's house at the end of October. Hopefully. It would be better if Ben could change it to the weekend right after Halloween.

Went to the Liberty Memorial today with Bob, John, Andrew, Tommy, and Dilloway. We had a lot of fun playin around with a frisbee Bob found in the trash and runnin around makin fools of ourselves. It was fun though.

On a side note, it turns out my hard drive is actually corrupt. I need a new one. If I want a good one, it might set me back 70 or 80, plus the new motherboard and processor I have wanted anyways, putting the total up into the 340 range. I don't know if I'll bite, or if I'll just make do with what I have right now.

Well this sucks

Umm something happened to my computer. The hard drive is now officially toast. I booted it up this morning, and lo and behold, it started making these weird scratching noises, and my computer couldn't find it.

Luckily, I have two hard drives in my computer, and have 3 different operating systems installed. I just booted another one, so right now I'm actually on my computer, but in a different linux. (Ubuntu, instead of Gentoo). All of my important stuff, besides my music and mail, were all on the other hard drive.

I'm buying a new motherboard/processor, because I think the BIOS is the culprit here, not the actual hard drive.

music stuff

i've been obsessed with P.O.D. lately, and I have no idea why. The Messenjah is the best song on "Satellite". End of story.

A faithful friend is a strong defense: and he that hath found such an one hath found a treasure.

--Ecclesiasticus 6:14

When a friend is in trouble, don't annoy him by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it.
